Ink Outlasts is a digital anthology of poetry written by Queensland women during and about the First World War. Pulled from the archives of the State Library of Queensland's John Oxley Library and from the pages of historical newspapers, the poems you will discover here introduce new ways of thinking about war, and perspectives that are deeply personal, responsive and honest. Through their work, these women shaped their own narrative, not for how women should feel or should respond to war, but how they did feel and did respond. Ink Outlasts presents their voices to a new generation of readers.
